Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

Why do you come to church?

To hear and study God’s word?  You don’t need church for that.  You can hear great preaching on the radio, or dowPeople in Communitynload messages from the internet.  You can read books and Bible commentaries written by PhDs.

To sing praise to God?  You don’t need church for that.  I can give you CDs with better music.

Because the Bible says “forsake not the assembling?”  Okay, but why?  Is it just a matter of obedience?

At Redeemer, we realize how important it is for us to gather for corporate worship – to study God’s word together, to sing and pray together and to share the Lord’s Supper together.  But for us to be all God wants us to be and for our service to Christ to be fully realized, we need more.  We need real community.  The Christian life wasn’t meant to be a solo sport.

We need authentic relationships.  We need others.  And they need us.

RCC community groups meet every other week, usually in people’s homes.  Right now, the groups are following a spring and fall schedule, with breaks during the summer and at Christmas time.  Please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
