First, welcome! We’re not sure how you found out about Redeemer—from a friend, from a search engine, or from seeing our church sign. Whatever brought you here, we’re glad you’re here and glad you’re taking a few minutes to look around and find out more about Redeemer.
You can read more about our initial beginnings here.
Sunday morning worship starts at 10:00 am:
- We sing together (a mix of traditional hymns and more contemporary songs)
- We pray for each other
- We spend time together looking at what the Bible teaches (you can listen to any of our recent sermons by clicking here)
- We take the Lord’s Supper together each week
Please wear whatever is comfortable for you. Most folks will be dressed casually.
When you arrive, someone will greet you and help you with a name tag. They will also be available to answer any questions you may have about child care or other needs that may arise.
Nursery | Toddlers – Birth to 5 Years
If you have preschoolers, we offer an adult-staffed nursery and toddlers church for children from birth to five.
Just a few reminders before dropping off your little one:
- Please have your child’s diaper bag supplied with everything that he/she might need.
- Please clearly label all of your child’s belongings.
- Snacks will be provided each service unless requested otherwise.
If you have older children, they are welcome in our worship service.
Super Sunday – 5 through 8 Years
On the 1st and 3rd, Super Sunday’s the word! After a time of worship together through music, children age 5 through 8 are dismissed for Super Sunday! Classes are led by adult teachers. Our curriculum is The ABCs of God. Using the alphabet as a framework for teaching the attributes of God, this study explores the delight that God has in Himself as the source, means, and purpose of all things. This is a wonderful study for children on the greatness and worth of God.
Superb Sunday – 9 through 12 Years
On the 2nd and 4th, Superb Sunday’s the word! After a time of worship together through music, children age 9 through 12 are dismissed for Superb Sunday! Classes are led by adult teachers. Our curriculum is How Majestic Is Your Name! The names of God in the Bible are a reflection of His character, which is so glorious that He cannot be described by a single name. His character is communicated in hundreds of names progressively revealed in the Bible. But the focus of How Majestic Is Your Name is not the many names, titles and references to God. These are merely the structure to show the greatness of our God. Each lesson presents glorious truths about God and encourages students to see and rejoice in His goodness and greatness.
We typically begin the service with a song or a hymn of celebration. After a few announcements, we take time to greet one another and to welcome visitors. Don’t be surprised if the people in front of you turn around and introduce themselves. The folks at Redeemer are very friendly!
We take time in our service to pray for special needs in our congregation, followed by a call to worship. We’ll then take time to sing songs that express our love for God and our gratitude for the cross of Christ.
We have a shared pulpit at Redeemer, with a number of gifted men who preach God’s word to us. Most often, the sermons are designed to help explain what a particular passage from the Bible means and to offer insight into the implications of the passage for our lives. You can listen to any of our recent sermons by clicking here.
The sermon leads us to the Lord’s Table each week for Communion. As we take the bread and the cup, we remind ourselves each week of the central message of the Christian faith – the message that makes Christianity different from every other world religion. We remind ourselves of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As we reflect on the good news that we have peace with God through the sacrifice of Christ on our behalf, we find the grace and strength we need to live for Jesus in a broken world.
Overall, the service takes about 90 minutes. We’re usually done between 11:30 & 11:45 am.
We hope you’ll join us soon for Sunday morning worship at Redeemer.
