So I’m curious. Did anyone wake up today and think “where’s the church newsletter? It’s not in my inbox!”
It was this afternoon that I said to Mary Ann “today’s Thursday, right? That means yesterday was Wednesday, right?”
It’s been that kind of year, hasn’t it.
So here it is, a day late. And no missive from me this week. Just a video that I hope all of you will take three minutes to watch (by the way, I can check to see how many people click the link. So I won’t know if you watched or not, but I’ll know the percentage who did. Just sayin’).
Really, it’s the kind of video I needed to see this week.
|Never underestimate the profound power of grace and forgiveness.|
The Bible tells all of us that just as God comforts us in all our afflictions, so we are to be ready to “comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God” (2 Corinthians 1:4). Offering hope, encouragement and wise counsel is something each one of us can do.
Next week, Grace Bible Theological Seminary in Conway is providing a free three day seminar on Biblical Counseling, taught by Dr. Kevin Carson. Here’s the info.
| This would be a great introduction to Biblical Counseling for anyone who has any interest. Pass the info on to someone you know. Find out more or register by clicking here.|
I hope you enjoy the holiday weekend. I hope you’re able to find a way to celebrate safely.
Remember, there’s no Confronting Christianity book study this week.
And about next week’s newsletter. It won’t come Wednesday. Or Thursday. Or Friday. Or at all. I’ll be back in your inbox in two weeks.
Finally, any time life takes you on a difficult, unexpected journey, it’s important to keep alert and take note of the lessons God has for you in that season. This Sunday, Pastor Matt will be sharing some of the things he and his wife have been learning and discovering about God, about faith, about themselves and about facing the unexpected together as they’ve been walking, in recent weeks, a path they never anticipated.
Once again this Sunday, Mrs. Jen will join the kids on line at 9:40 for their Gospel Zone lesson. The service will start at 10.
See you (in person or on line) Sunday!
Soli Deo Gloria!
